Mayuge district local government in conjunction with civil society organizations commemorated the Day of the African Child at the District farm institute-Ikulwe.

Training on performance management
There was a training on performance management to heads of departments, sector heads , town clerks and sub county chiefs today 20th April 2021 in the district council hall.
Delivery of Drugs by NMS to the district
NMS made a delivery of drugs at the district which are to be later on distributed to the various health centers around the district. usually the distribution is made upon request by the health center for the specific drugs and health materials needed at the particular unit.
Uganda Independence Day
Uganda gained her independence on October 9th 1962. Since 1894 she was a British protectorate that was put together from some very organized kingdoms and chieftaincies that inhabited the lake regions of central Africa.
By 1959, Uganda had 16 districts and at the time of independence in 1962 one more district was created. In 1945 Uganda divided into four provinces of Buganda, Eastern, Northern and Western. The provinces were sub-divided into districts In 1962: Uganda became independent on October 9.
Rehabilitation of Bumwena -Namoni Road
District Engineer , Wanjusi Febiano was today in Malongo sub county to inspect the on going works of Rehabilitation on the 16km Bumwena-Namoni road which is done by District road rehabilitation unit - Jinja station .
Grading, compacting swamp raising and replacement of culverts is being done systematically.
