Mayuge District Empowers PWDs with Assistive Devices

Mayuge District leaders, working with the Mayuge District Union of Persons with Disabilities, successfully obtained 150 assistive devices from Mission for Disability, a Christian organization in Busia. These devices will be used to support people with disabilities in the district.
On Tuesday 26th November 2024, a distribution ceremony was held at the District headquarters. During the event, 81 wheelchairs, 17 clutches, and 52 white canes were given to people with disabilities.
The first recipients of these devices were from Mpungwe, Bukatube, Bukabooli, Imanyiro, Busakira, Kityerera, Mayuge Town Council, and Bugadde Town Council.
