Delegation of experts from KOICA visits Mayuge District Local Government



Today, a joint delegation of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Uganda experts and Ministry of Local Government officials led by Assistant Commissioner-District Administration, Mr. Ettedu JJ Geoffrey held an inception meeting with technical staff at Mayuge District Local Government. The meeting focussed on the upcoming project, "Strengthening the Implementation Capacity for Sustainable Rural Development in Uganda".
The five year project will run from 2025-2029 in four districts; Mpigi, Mityana, Jinja and Mayuge. It will target farmers and Parish Development Model (PDM) SACCO enterprises across twelve parishes in total.
The Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Batambuze Abdu commended KOICA's efforts in Mayuge citing the renovated health facilities as an example. He committed to providing office space for the team and promised complete support and cooperation for the new project which seems to enhance community well-being.
The team visited two PDM SACCO enterprises after meeting the technical staff.
